A life at
the piano.

Born in Belarus, Pavel Yeletskiy began playing the piano at the age of five. His father was his first and most important teacher.

His early competition successes in the 1990s included the Ogiński Competition in Smorgon, a piano competition in Smolensk, and the Tsvetaeva Competition in 1993. He entered Moscow’s Central Special Music School in 1995, in the class of Valery Kastelskiy, and toured Japan and France in 1998.

From 1999 to 2004 he studied at the Moscow State Conservatoire with Lev Naumov. His performances during this period included the Conservatoire’s Great, Rachmaninoff and Small Halls and the concert hall of the Gnesin Music Academy.

From 2004 to 2007 he pursued postgraduate studies at the Moscow State Conservatoire and defended his diploma thesis on Chopin’s 24 Preludes, Op. 28, and Francisco Goya’s etchings.

In 2013 he received a Soloist Diploma from the Bern University of the Arts, where he studied with Tomasz Herbut.
